Dead Body Of Missing Co-driver Found In Dhading Landslide

Jan 16, Kathmandu- The body of a person who went missing after being buried in a landslide in Dhading has been found.

Three people were buried in a landslide in Rubi Valley Village Municipality-1 Lingjo at 7.30 am on Thursday.

The body of one of them was found at around 5:45 pm on Saturday, said Jageshwor Bhandari, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Dhading.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Tamang, 19, of Mahabharat Gaonpalika-2, Kavre. He was the co-driver of the excavator.

The landslide had killed three people including an excavator while digging the road to Lingjopur-Tipling.

Aakash Tamang, 27, a driver from Kavre and Anish Tamang, a local from the Road Construction Committee, are still missing. The office said they were looking for him.

According to DSP Bhandari, 20 Nepal Army personnel, 11 Armed Police Force personnel and 7 Nepal Police personnel have been deployed for the search.
