Jan 18, Kathmandu- Spokesperson of the government Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has expressed confidence that the main opposition party CPN-UML will help in the smooth functioning of the parliament.

After the meeting of the high-level political coordination committee formed by the ruling coalition at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar today, government spokesperson Karki said that the government was taking initiative to open the parliament. He said that the coalition was making repeated efforts to open the parliament.

He said that he had met UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli several times and that the Prime Minister had also held talks with him. He said that the government and the main opposition party would be equally responsible for the smooth functioning of the parliament.
