Jan 18, Kathmandu- About 12 people have been killed in airstrikes by a Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. A bomb blast near the capital of Yemen, Sanaa, has killed at least 12 people.
The bomber struck shortly after 12 noon in front of a gathering of Iranian military officials. Preliminary reports indicate that at least 14 people were killed in the attack.
The day after Huthi rebels launched a drone strike on Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, the Saudi-led coalition launched a deadly attack in the region. Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi left the government in late 2014 after Huthi rebels seized control of the Yemeni capital and northern Yemen.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE intervened in the war in Yemen in 2015 to restore Hadi's government. The UAE deployed troops to Yemen in 2019.
