First NVA Title For Army's Women Volleyball Team

May 7, Kathmandu- The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club has won the women's title of the NVA National Women's and Men's Club League Volleyball Championship for the first time.

The Army defeated another departmental team Nepal Police Club 3-0 in a straight set in the final at Covered Hall National Sports Council on Saturday to record the sixth edition of the competition. The Army defeated the Police 25-18, 25-23, 25-20.

Along with the title, the Army has received Rs. 600,000. Similarly, the police who were satisfied with the runner-up received Rs. 300,000.

Similarly, APF Club, which managed to stay in the third place, got Rs. 150,000. Army and Police added the same nine points from four games but the Army became the Champion on the basis of the points they got in winning the first set.

There were five teams participating in the competition on the women's side. In today's final match of the men's side, competition is being held between Army and Tiptop Help Nepal.
