Three Arrested For Stealing More Than Rs 40 Million Of Gold

May 10, Kathmandu- Three people have been arrested for robbing a gold store in Butwal.

The arrested are identified as Mohsin Abdullah Khan, 36, resident of Johari Mohalla Chowk, Uttar Pradesh, India, Mohad Zeeshan Khan, 25, of Bharat Enclave, Gomti Vihar Colony, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and Mohammad Sarik, 22, of Bharat Takiya Paper Mill Colony, Nishatganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, on the night of April 29, they stole gold and jewelry from Gulmeli Majuwa Gold and Silver Shop at BP Chowk in Butwal Sub-Metropolis 6. Gold and jewelry worth over Rs 45 million were stolen from the Gulmeli Majuwa Gold and Silver Shop run by Dil Bahadur Sunar at BP Chowk.

While conducting a search operation at Khungai Kalidah Road in Lumbini Cultural Municipality, Ward No. 4, Mahuwari on May 9 evening by a team from Area Police Office, Butwal, and Area Police Office, Lumbini, inspected the Indian number plate UP 32 LW 3151, Wagoner, they were arrested.
