One Killed In A Serious Fight At Solukhumbu

May 14, Kathmandu- An injured person has died in a clash that erupted in Solukhumbu over the issue of bringing voters to cast their votes but neglecting to take them home after voting.

In Sotang Gaonpalika-3 of the district, a clash took place between Congress and UCPN-M cadres last evening over taking voters back home. According to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu, 35-year-old Sudip Rai was killed in the clash. Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Jung Shah informed that Rai succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Phaplu.

Three people have been arrested on the charge of being involved in the incident.
