United Nations Security Council Condemns Murder Of Al Jazeera Journalist

May 14, Kathmandu- The United Nations has strongly condemned the killing of an Al Jazeera journalist. Al Jazeera journalist Shereen Abu Akleh was assassinated last Wednesday. She was shot dead as she was covering the Israeli army's operation.

Her other friends were seriously injured in the shooting. She was killed in Jenin while covering the Israeli operation in Jenin. Condemning the killing in the strongest terms, it has demanded action against those involved in the killing. The United Nations has stressed the need for the protection of journalists working for news coverage.
