Nepal Lost By 12 Runs

May 16, Kathmandu- Nepal women's cricket team has lost to Uganda by 12 runs today.

Uganda, who were invited to bat after losing the toss at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, lost five wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 102 runs. Chasing the target of 103 runs, Nepal lost 9 wickets and managed to score only 90 runs.

At the same time, Uganda took a 1-0 lead in the five-match Twenty20 International series.

Vice-captain Indu Burma was the top scorer for Nepal with 16 runs. Except for Dolly Bhatta scoring 13, Opener Bindu Rawal with 12, and Kabita Kunwar scoring 11 runs, others could not score in double digits.

Uganda's Consy Aweko and Sarah Ekiteng took two wickets each. Janet Mbabazi and Rita Musamali took one wicket each.

Before that, Uganda's Mbabaji had scored the most 29 runs. Rita Nangendo scored 18, Musamali 13 not out and Franklin Najumba 12.

Kabita Kuwar of Nepal took two wickets. Captain Ravina Chhetri, Kabita Joshi, and Indu each took one wicket.

Nepal will play its second match on Tuesday at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium.
