Petrol And Diesel Prices Decreased In India, Imran Khan Praises Modi Government

May 22, Kathmandu- The Indian government on Saturday announced a reduction in petrol and diesel prices. The central government has reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel. The government has reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per liter and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter. At the same time, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also announced a grant of Rs 200 to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).

This decision of the Government of India has brought great relief to the people of India. This decision of Modi government has also affected Pakistan.

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has praised the decision of the Indian government. He tweeted praising the Modi government.

"Despite being part of the quad, India has not succumbed to US pressure and has given relief to its people by buying cheap oil from Russia. Our government was pursuing an independent foreign policy to achieve this", he wrote, "Pakistan's interests were paramount for our government, but unfortunately Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq became the frontrunners of the conspiracy under external pressure and are now running the economy at a loss".

This is not the first time that Imran Khan has praised India. Earlier, in a rally, he had said that the foreign policy of the neighboring country was in the interest of the people.

On Saturday evening, Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a reduction of Rs 8 per liter on petrol and Rs 6 per liter on diesel.

After the five state elections in March, the price of petrol and diesel started going up and the price of petrol had crossed Rs 100 per liter.
