May 22, Kathmandu- Pankaj Nembang, senior vice president of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has questioned the removal of Kiran Chemjong, the captain of the Nepali national football team.
On Sunday, Nembang also requested team manager Madhusudan Upadhyay to reveal the reason for Kiran's removal through his social media.
"What is the reason for the captain of the Nepali national football team Kiran Chemjong to leave the team? The team manager should have made it clear", Nembang has questioned.
Earlier, during the training for the Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in China next year, 10 players dropped out of the training camp after being repeatedly asked by head coach Abdullah Al Mutairi to leave the team after demanding basic necessities.
Kiran, who is playing professional football in the Maldives, had the same support for those players. Therefore, keeping 10 players including Kiran out of the team, coach Al Mutairi has already announced the national team for the Asian Cup selection.
