Gagan Thapa's Suggestion To Finance Minister Sharma!

May 22, Kathmandu- General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has commented that the secretary is seen in the Prime Minister's Office.

Speaking at the launch of the book 'Atripta Awasar' by economist Dr. Swarnim Wagle today, Thapa remarked that the Prime Minister's team should be strong but the secretary seems to be struggling. He also stressed on the need to change the tendency of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers to take action against the Secretary. According to Thapa, there is a tendency to transfer the Prime Minister's Office and keep the secretaries in other ministries jobless.

He says that if the team is not good then the Prime Minister will be lost and the opportunity will be wasted. Stating that such a trend has been running since the past times, General Secretary Thapa said that Congress would not repeat such a mistake in the coming days. Thapa said that Nepal's political parties were only preparing for how to join the government but were not ready for doing what is meant to be done after joining the government.

General Secretary Thapa suggested the current Finance Minister Janardan Sharma to prepare the budget thinking of him as the Industry Minister rather than the Finance Minister.
