Akshay's 'Prithviraj' In Controversy: Demand To Change The Name Of The Film

May 22, Kathmandu- As the release date draws near, the movie 'Prithviraj' starring Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been dragged into the controversy.

The movie starring Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chillar, Manav Vij, Sanjay Dutt, Ali Fazal, and others has been dragged into controversy after the trailer was released.

Recently, the film was discussed at the Gurjar Mahasabha. In the meeting, it was said that the screening of the film should be stopped as Prithviraj Chauhan, on whom the film is based, is not a Rajput but a Gurjar king.

After that, the Karni Sena, representing the Rajput community in India, demanded that the name of the film be changed. The Karni Sena has demanded to change the name of the film from 'Prithviraj' to 'Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan'.

The Karni Sena has warned that the film will not be allowed to be screened in Rajasthan. If the name of the film is not changed, the film will not be allowed to be screened in the entire state of Rajasthan.

Karani Sena has said, "If the production side of the film does not change its title, we will not allow it to be screened all over Rajasthan". We have also warned the distributors in the state of Rajasthan about this. We have been told not to screen the film here unless the name is changed".

Due to the controversy, there is confusion as to whether the demonstration will be held on time or not. The film, which is set to release on June 3, is directed by Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi.
