Impact Of Natural Disaster In Pokhara Has Taken Houses Of Many

Jun 25,  Kathmandu- Landslides and floods have drowned settlements in Pokhara along with incessant rains. One hundred and fifty houses have been submerged in Suikhet, Pokhara 25 on Saturday morning. The exit has been blocked after the landslide blocked the river.

The affected people of 150 houses have been shifted to safer places, said Ward Chairman Motiraj Timilsina. He said that commercial farms along with the settlement were completely damaged.

Similarly, a house in Kholakhet of Armala in Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 16 has been swept away by a landslide. No human casualties have been reported. Roads in other areas have also been flooded. Police said that the traffic was blocked.
