Aug 4, Kathmandu- A Chinese citizen has been kidnapped from Lainchaur in Kathmandu.

Six Nepali youths kidnapped a Chinese citizen including an interpreter from his flat and held them hostage in a hotel in Gongabu. The team of the district police complex Kathmandu rescued the Chinese from a hotel in Gongabu last night.

Six people involved in the kidnapping have been arrested, District Police of Kathmandu has informed. After robbing the Chinese national of 8 lakhs in cash and 27 mobile phones from the flat, the accused took them to Gongabu and held them hostage.

After agreeing to release the kidnapper for 50 lakhs, the police released him from the abduction with the help of relatives of the Chinese citizen.
