House Of Representatives Passed The Oath Bill By A Majority

Aug 10, Kathmandu- The Oath Bill 2079 has been passed by the House of Representatives.

The Oath Bill 2079 received from the National Assembly with a message was passed by the House of Representatives meeting held today. On behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Gobinda Sharma Koirala (Bandi) submitted a proposal that the bill should be discussed on a quarterly basis.

2 MPs Prem Suwal and Ghana Shyam Khatiwada filed amendments on the bill. Although Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota gave time to withdraw the amendment, both of them rejected it. Then it was announced that their amendment proposal was rejected by the majority.

Law Minister Bandi submitted a proposal to pass the bill on Wednesday after the discussion was over. After Minister Bandi's proposal, the bill was passed by a majority vote based on voice count.
