Sept 25, Kathmandu- The police arrested 9 people involved in the murder in Chulachuli of Ilam last Wednesday.

After arresting Narendra Darji, Naresh Kumar Yakha, Abhishek Kerung, Sesehang Yakha, Chandrakumar Ewa, Dumbar Ewa, Narendra Tumrok, Bikram Hingmang and Parashu Rai of Chulachuli-4 who are involved in the murder of 44-year-old Lal Bahadur Gurung alias LB lives in Beldangi refugee camp in Damak, Jhapa, have been made public.

District Police Office Ilam has informed that they admitted to the police that they beat up Gurung and killed him using sharp weapons.

On the evening of September 21, a group of 10-12 people hit Gurung with sticks, and stones and seriously injured Gurung near the Ratuwa bridge connecting Damak and Chulachuli.

The injured Gurung died on the way to the hospital.
