CPF Being Signed By Education Minister Poudel

Sept 27, Kathmandu- Education, Science, and Technology Minister Devendra Poudel has signed the Country Program Framework (CPF).

CPF for 2022 to 2027 at the international nuclear energy program in Austria. After the signing, Nepal will receive technical assistance in fields such as radiation safety, nuclear safety, food and agriculture, and health through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). It will also support nutrition, drinking water and environment, energy and industry, nuclear knowledge development, and expansion.

On the same occasion, Minister of Education Paudel also addressed the 66th General Assembly of IEA. During his speech, he said that since Nepal is a signatory to international treaties or conventions related to disarmament, Nepal is firm on the peaceful use of nuclear weapons. Also stating that Nepal is committed to world peace and disarmament, he mentioned that Nepal is determined to use nuclear science and technology for peaceful purposes within the security framework of the IAEA.

He clarified the various policy measures adopted by Nepal in the field of nuclear science and technology. On the same occasion, Minister Paudel also participated in the 50th anniversary of RCA and said that the cooperation of IAEA and RCA is valuable in the development of nuclear science and technology in Nepal. He said that Nepal is continuously working on increasing its capacity in nuclear science and its peaceful use through various technical cooperation projects and RCA schemes.
