Powerful Storm Hit The US State Of Florida With Heavy Rainfall

Sept 29, Kathmandu- A powerful storm has hit the US state of Florida along with heavy rainfall.

When the powerful storm "Ian" reaches the southwest coast of Florida in the United States, heavy rain, flooding, and strong winds are blowing. For the first time in decades, such a dangerous storm has hit America.

This storm that came on Wednesday has been placed in the fifth category based on intensity and its speed is 250 km. Instructions have been given to evacuate houses that may be affected by the storm. Millions of people have been displaced. There is a power outage in that area. About 1.8 million people have not been supplied with electricity.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said Wednesday, “Pray for people. This is a very bad day. Until you see it, it's hard to imagine the devastation caused by seawater hurricanes", said Erik Salna, associate director of the International Hurricane Research Center.

Erik Salna says, "Statistically and historically, more people die from water than from wind, and Ian's is the worst".

A hurricane warning has been issued for the entire west coast of Florida. More than 4,000 flights in and out of the US were canceled on Wednesday and Thursday.
