The Netherlands reached the knockout stage by defeating the hosts Qatar 2-0 in the last match of their group held on Tuesday night. Cody Gakpo and Frankie De Jong scored one goal each to make the Netherlands win. In the next match of this group, Senegal defeated Ecuador 2-1 and reached the knockout stage. Ismaila Saar and Kalidou Koulibaly scored one goal for Senegal, while Caicedo from Ecuador returned one goal.

From Group A, the Netherlands won with 7 points and Senegal entered the knockout stage as runners-up with 6 points. Similarly, in the match of Group B, England beat Wales 3-0 and reached the knockout stage. Marcus Rashford scored two goals for England while Phil Foden added one goal.
