Pakistan mosque bomb attack update: death toll rises to 70

Jan 31, Kathmandu- The death toll in a bomb attack on a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan has reached 70.

An international news agency has reported quoting government officials that another 157 people were injured when a bomb exploded at a mosque in the police compound. The spokesperson of Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, Muhammad Asim, also confirmed that 59 people died and 157 people were injured.

According to the police officer, 27 police officers are among the dead. While prayers were going on in the mosque, the bomb exploded.
