Weekly Discussions On The School Education Bill Continue

Mar 22, Kathmandu- Weekly discussions on the School Education Bill have started.

From today, the weekly discussion with the parliamentarians who registered the amendment proposal in the bill has started. Earlier, the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee discussed with the stakeholders. Speaking at the weekly discussion, Nepali Congress MP Dilendra Prasad Badu said that it should be understood that school education is within the common jurisdiction of all the three governments.

He said, "There has also been an opinion that education up to the secondary level is within the sole authority of the local level. But it is not separate from the association. Therefore, it should be understood that it is within the rights and duties of all three levels. If we are clear in this way, it will be easy to move forward. Badu has proposed not to keep the district education office and to keep the existing education development and coordination office as it is. Examination to be taken in 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th class. He proposes that the local level will take the exam up to 5th, the district will take it up to 8th and the province will be present in the 10th class exam. Badu has supported the government's proposal to conduct the 12th class examination at the center".

Congress MP Badu proposed that the local level should consult the Education Development and Coordination Office while transferring teachers.
