Online Ticketing System Launched In Lumbini

Mar 23, Kathmandu- Lumbini Development Fund has launched an online ticketing system for visiting Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.

Chairman of Lumbini Development Fund and Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Hit Bahadur Tamang on Saturday launched the online ticketing system for visiting Lumbini, which has been prepared for domestic and foreign pilgrims.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister Tamang believed that in the development of information technology, ticketing through online will add convenience to tourists. He said that labelling would prevent any kind of irregularity, make the organization transparent and help tourists. He said that since Lumbini is the center of the faith of the Buddhist pilgrims of the world, labelling will attract the religious and other pilgrims who come here.

In the program, Vice President of Lumbini Development Fund, Constituent Assembly member Dr. Lharkyala Lama (Khempo Chhime) believed that online ticketing will also increase the number of tourists coming to Lumbini. He said that efforts have been made to make it easier for tourists by ending the hassle of standing in long lines to buy tickets. He emphasized that not only the Lumbini Buddhists but all the religious sects of the world believe in it, so it should be propagated. He said that Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world should come to Lumbini and receive the message of peace and non-violence.
