Cure Rate For Tuberculosis Is More Than 95 Percent In Those Who Take Regular Medicine

Mar 24, Kathmandu- Health workers have suggested to go through the treatment process as tuberculosis can be completely cured if treated. Tuberculosis 'focal person' of district health office Nawalpur, Dilliram Tiwari, said that by taking medicine for 6 to 8 months without missing a day, tuberculosis can be completely cured.

Currently, more than 95 percent of people who take regular medicine in Nepal are completely cured of tuberculosis. The government has been providing tuberculosis tests and medicines free of charge. Dr. Dirghsingh Bam, a chest specialist, said that this disease, commonly called TB, is transmitted through breathing. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, the disease can be spread to the people living nearby.

Apart from the lungs and lungs, it also infects glands, intestines, stomach, spine, bones, reproductive organs, skin, eyes and head. Tiwari said that although the symptoms of tuberculosis differ according to the organ, the symptoms of tuberculosis usually include a person becoming emaciated, a low-grade fever, and lack of interest in eating.

Today, World Tuberculosis Day is being celebrated with the slogan 'Yes, we can end tuberculosis'. World Tuberculosis Day is celebrated on March 24 every year.
