Nepal Won By 6 Wickets Against Ireland Wolves

Mar 25, Kathmandu- Ireland Wolves lost to Nepal in the first match of the T20 series by 6 wickets. Nepal completed the target of 122 runs given by Ireland Wolves for the victory with the loss of 4 wickets in 16.1 overs.

Opener Kushal Bhurtel remained unbeaten on 37 runs for Nepal. He hit 4 boundaries in 32 balls. Sandeep Jora scored 35 runs off 36 balls. He hits 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Dipendra Singh Airee scored 20 runs in 12 balls and remained unbeaten. Similarly, Aashif Sheikh scored 16 runs.

On the bowling side, Gareth Delaney of Ireland Wolves took 2 wickets and Ben White took 1 wicket.

Ireland Wolves, who won the toss and elected to bat first, lost all wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and scored 121 runs at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Stephen Doheny top-scored for Ireland with 46 runs. He faced 39 balls and hit 4 fours and 2 sixes. Matthew Humphries and Liam McCarthy scored 16 each. Apart from Fionn Hand adding 11 runs, other players did not perform well.

Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulshan Jha and Kushal Bhurtel took 2 wickets each for Nepal. Karan KC and Kushal Malla had identical 1/1 wickets.
