Five Bangladeshi Citizens Illegally Staying In Nepal Have Been Arrested

Mar 26, Kathmandu- The police has arrested five Bangladeshi citizens who are illegally staying in Nepal after the expiry of their visa period and made it public today.

Among those arrested are 26-year-old MD Rifat Ahmed, 23-year-old MD Abdullah, 45-year-old MD Samuel Hoda, 30-year-old Abdul Biswas and 36-year-old MD Masum Mian, who are from Dhaka, Bangladesh and currently live in Kathmandu Sohrakhute, said Nakul Pokharel, Information Officer of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and Superintendent of Police informed.

According to him, they were arrested from Sohrakhutte on the basis of information that after the expiry of the visa period, the Bangladeshi citizens illegally entered Nepal on different dates and settled illegally and were involved in suspicious activities.

Among those arrested, Biswas and Mia were arrested on Chait 9, while the other three were arrested on Monday. Information Officer Pokharel said that they have been sent to the Immigration Department Kalikasthan for necessary investigation and action.
