Nobel Prize-Winner, Psychologist And Author Daniel Kahneman Dies In His 90s

Mar 28, Kathmandu- Daniel Kahneman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2002, is the author of the famous book 'Thinking, Fast and Slow'.

Nobel Prize winner, psychologist and author Daniel Kahneman has passed away. He passed away on Wednesday at 90 years old.

Kahneman's death was announced by Princeton University, where he had been employed since 1993. Kahneman, who is considered to be the 'synonym of practical economics', received the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2002. Kahneman is the author of the famous and highly influential book 'Thinking, Fast and Slow' in the academic field.

Born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1934, Kahneman received his higher education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1954. After that, he went to the University of California to study psychology. In 1961, he came back to Israel. He taught the subject of psychology for a long time.

Kahneman, a famous American professor of Israeli descent, has put together the findings of his decades of research in the famous book "Thinking, Fast and Slow" as well as "Bestselling". The constraints identified by his study focus on what errors people commonly make when evaluating something.

After years of research, he has submitted in-depth evidence that the decisions people make about themselves at important stages of life are not 'rational' instead of being rational.

Kahneman also received the prestigious 'Presidential Medal of Freedom' from US President Barack Obama in 2013.
