Mar 28, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa, pointing to CPN-UML and Rastriya Swatanra Party, commented that everyone's below the party president KP Oli.

Chief Minister Thapa, who has resumed his dialogue journey from today, made this comment while speaking in Nawalparasi on Thursday. He said, "Look at what kind of party CPN-UML has become, no one can question the president of the party. There will be only others under the party president KP. He is above the question. Referring to Lamichhane, chairman of the RSP, Thapa said that the chairman of the new party is like God". He said, "You cannot question God. Even if God cheated. God is above the question". General Minister Thapa said that since there is no one outside the question in the Congress, it can be discussed and debated.

Mentioning that there are problems within the party, Thapa said that it is not appropriate to keep the trend from one convention to the next. He said that various options were proposed in the general committee meeting to end factions within the party and to make the party operation process effective.

General Minister Thapa emphasised the need to change the ticket distribution system in the party. Thapa says it is difficult to select a candidate from the names that appeared in the by-elections of Ilam and Bajhang. According to the constitution of the Congress, only three persons including one woman can be recommended. Thapa said, "The names of seven people have been recommended for Ilam-2". He said that there is an option to choose the candidate who gets more votes by conducting a survey before the election or by giving the right to the members of the candidate.
