Apr 16, Kathmandu- In the national T20 cricket tournament, Madhesh province defeated Bagmati province.

Madhesh defeated Bagmati by 6 wickets in the opening match at Mulpani Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

The target of 142 runs given by Bagmati was completed by Madhesh with the loss of 4 wickets in 17 overs. Sahil Patel scored a half-century in the victory of Madhesh. He hit 4 fours and 4 sixes and scored 67 runs off 49 balls. While Mayan Yadav scored 23 runs, Rohan Bick scored 32 runs.

Subash Khatri, Gautam KC and Sonu Devkota took 1 wicket each for Bagmati.

Batting first, Shubh Kansakar scored 43 runs and Ashutosh Ghiraiya scored 37 runs for Bagmati. For Madhesh, Rupesh Singh, Vishal Patel, Abhishek Tiwari took 2-2 and Ranjit Kumar and Pradeep Paswan took 1-1 wicket each.
