Apr 16, Kathmandu- Armed police have arrested one person with 272 kg and 33 grams of marijuana.

Satnam Singh, who is from India, is among the arrested. According to the police, he was arrested on Tuesday along with a container from the bypass area under Postal highway located in Rohini rural municipality-1 of Rupandehi.

According to Assistant Spokesperson of Armed Police Force of Nepal, DSP Shailendra Thapa, that quantity of marijuana was found in the container with Indian number UP 78 BT 8297 which was going from Nepal to India.

The team of SP Ananda Thapamargar of No. 27 Gana located in Rupandehi has arrested him with illegal marijuana.

DSP Thapa informed that Singh, who was taken into custody, was handed over to District Police Office Bhairahawa for necessary action along with the seized marijuana and truck.
