Apr 18, Kathmandu- CPN (UML) has also supported the long association of CPN Unified Socialists for the Chief Minister of the Sudurpaschim.

In the beginning, the UML's position was to support the MPs of the Unified Samajwadi Party to become the Chief Minister, except for Sodari. But after Madhav Kumar Nepal, president of Unified Samajwadi Party, tried to form an alternative alliance, UML was also forced to support it. According to Article 168 (2) of the Constitution, Sodari will present his claim to the Chief Minister at 4:30 pm, Naresh Shahi, MP of Unified Socialist Party has informed.

Sodari has been supported by Maoist Center, United Socialists, Nagarik Unmukti and others. Independent MP Tara Joshi has also supported it. Earlier on Sunday, two MPs of the Civil Liberation Party submitted claims for the position of Chief Minister.
