Apr 21, Kathmandu- Local police have confirmed that at least nine men aged between 18 and 30 died in a road accident in the western Indian state of Rajasthan on Sunday morning.

The accident took place in Jhalwar district of Rajasthan when a speeding vehicle collided. The victims were returning home after attending a wedding in the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh.

In the accident, three people died on the spot, while six people died during treatment at a local hospital. At the time of the accident, there were 10 people in the crashed vehicle. One of the injured is being treated at a local hospital.

After the accident, the driver of the big vehicle escaped from the spot and was later arrested by the local police.
