Free Health Camp On Cervical Cancer In Bulingtar Rural Municipality

Apr 22, Kathmandu- A free health camp on cervical cancer has been completed in Bulingtar Rural Municipality of East Nawalparasi.

During the two-day camp, 85 women have undergone cervical cancer health check-up. During the cervical cancer test in the camp, health problems were found in nine people. Two of them were treated with thermo coagulation in the camp, i.e. killing the bad blood cells there, while two have been referred for cervical cancer biopsies.

Five people were sent to Bharatpur for further treatment as they could not undergo thermo coagulation in the camp. In hilly areas, women are dying due to cervical cancer without early treatment. The technical support of the camp was provided by Bharatpur-based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Chitwan, while Bullingtar Rural Municipality, Nawalpur and Swasthya Darpan Media Network Pvt Ltd are co-organizers.

In the camp, a medical team including senior health worker Ashok Kumar Shrestha, senior medical nurse Ayodhya Pathak, medical nurse Prakriti Paudel, Dhan Bahadur Bache and Nabin Kumar Mahato examined the health of the client's uterus.
