36 IS Suspects Arrested By Turkish Police

Apr 22, Kathmandu- Turkish police have arrested 36 suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) group. Ali Yerlikaya, the country's interior minister, informed about this.

The suspects were detained in Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, as well as in the provinces of Kayseri, Izmir and Eskişehir. Some of the suspects were allegedly involved in the group's financial network.

During the operation, the police recovered a gun, an unlicensed pistol, a large amount of foreign and Turkish currency and a lot of digital material.
