All powers must stand together to save the republic: Oli

Apr 22, Kathmandu- Chairman of CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged all political parties to unite in defending and civilizing the Federal Democratic Republic.

He said this at the Diamond jubilee ceremony of the establishment of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) held at Godavarthi Sunrise Hall in Lalitpur on Monday.

President Oli also said that there is a situation where everyone can stand together in the way of protecting and strengthening the federal democratic republic. He said that the existing system should be used as a means to proceed with the work of good governance and development.

President Oli pointed to former Prime Minister Gyanendra Shah and said that talking about regression will not get you anywhere. He said that the government and the current ruling parties should also make concrete plans to eliminate poverty from the country, end corruption and move forward in favor of the nation and national interest.

He said, "Now we are getting closer through collaboration. Now we move forward through collaboration. And gradually we can reach the path of unity. We can get to that point. Now the whole country should be one. If the entire country can be united, let's protect the federal democratic republic and make it strong. Let's make it a medium and move forward on the path of good governance and development".

Oli also insisted that UML will not illegitimately take any stand. He also reiterated that there is no immediate situation for the left wing to unite.
