Bagmati And Karnali Won Bir Ganeshman Singh Cup National T20 Men's Cricket

Apr 22, Kathmandu- Karnali Province and Bagmati Province have won the third consecutive victory in Bir Ganeshman Singh Cup National T20 Men's Cricket. Karnali beat Gandaki Pradesh by a narrow margin of five runs while getting their third win in four matches.

Karnali, who won the toss and elected to bat on Mulpani upper ground, scored 168 runs after losing four wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. In Karnali's innings, opener Bipin Rawal, who was selected as the player of the match, scored the highest 68 runs. Ravindra Jung Shahi contributed 33 and Dinesh Adhikari 29 unbeaten runs. All four wickets of Gandaki were taken by Amrit Gurung.

In response, Gandaki scored only 163 runs at the loss of four wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Gandaki opener Arjun Kumal scored the highest 70 runs. Sandeep Khatri scored 19 unbeaten runs in 11 balls towards the end of the innings but it was not enough for victory. Karnali's Diwan Pun, Prakash Jaisi and Yunish Thakuri took one wicket each.

Similarly, in another match, Bagmati defeated Lumbini Pradesh by 25 runs. With the win, Bagmati is at the top of the points table. After winning the toss and deciding to bat, Bagmati scored 162 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Captain Rit Gautam scored the highest 56 runs for Bagmati. Ramnaresh Giri scored 28 unbeaten runs and Shubh Kansakar scored 19 runs. Lumbini's Nar Bahadur Sarki took four wickets and captain Dev Khanal took two wickets.

Lumbini was bowled out for 137 runs at the loss of nine wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. For Lumbini, Krishna Karki scored an unbeaten 38 and Sunil Bhandari scored 34 runs. In bowling, Rijn Dhakal took the most three wickets, Ramnaresh Giri and Ishan Pandey took one wicket each.
