President Bidhyadevi Bhandari has provided two months' salary and Chadwad allowance to the Corona Virus Prevention and Treatment Fund set up by the government.

In a statement, the President's Office said that President Bhandari would provide the fund for the two months of the current fiscal year.

A statement issued by President's Office spokesperson Hari Prasad Dahal said that President Bhandari had provided the amount to the Fund for Pandemic Control.

Earlier, MPs from the ruling party CPN (Maoist), the main opposition party Nepali Congress and other parties have contributed to the fund. It has been decided earlier that the money received by the ministers participating in the cabinet of the government will also be provided to the fund.

The executive body and the head of state have made public the information to be deposited in the fund after the decision was taken to take the tithe allowance by deciding that the general public should be treated for corona themselves.
