April 9, Kathmandu- The Ministry of Health has recommended the Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) to close down educational institutions, saying the new strain of the virus is spreading rapidly.

As the number of children in the age group of 18 years (school age group) has been on the rise recently, it has been recommended that the educational sector be closed immediately and online reading be made regular. More than 200 children have been infected.

According to the Ministry, schools should be closed, and that classes should be taken online. The Ministry has also urged one and all to follow health protocols strictly. Likewise, the ministry has also recommended the closure of restaurants, theaters, party venues, and other crowded places.
