Electric Charging Stations Are Being Built In All Seven Province

April 14, Kathmandu - A contract has been signed to complete the electric charging station in the seven provinces within a year. NEA spokesperson Madan Timsina said that the maintenance of the charging station, which is being constructed with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank, will be done by the contractor company for five years.

He also informed that 142 KW capacity chargers, 50 KVA transformers for power supply and online billing system will be connected in each charging station. From this, three vehicles including the big bus can be charged simultaneously.

Charging station software will be kept in the data center of NEA to serve more than 300 chargers. All 50 stations will be controlled from Kathmandu. Charging stations will be located on main highways, bus parks and major cities. There will be 7 charging stations in Kathmandu Valley.

There will be 5 charging stations in Damak, Bhadrapur, Kankai of Jhapa, Biratnagar of Morang and Itahari of Sunsari in Province No. 1.

There will be 13 charging stations in Malekhu of Dhading, 2 in Sindhuli of BP Highway, 2 in Hetauda of Makwanpur, 2 in Bharatpur of Chitwan, 4 in Munglinarkurintar and 1 in Banepa of Kavre.

There will be 6 charging stations in Gandaki, including Nawalpur, Damauli in Tanahu, 1 and 1 in Syangja and 3 in Pokhara, Kaski. There will be 8 charging stations in Lumbini. There will be 8 charging stations in Nepalgunj of Banke, 1 and 1 in Bhaluwang and Dang of Dang, 1 in Butwal of Rupandehi, 2 in Bardaghatar Sunwal of Nawalparasi and 8 in Karnali, Surkhet in Karnali and 3 in Far-Western. There will be three charging stations in the far west, 1-1 in Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur, Dhangadhi and Dadeldhura of Kailali.
