Auditions Gave By Actors From Birgunj And Janakpur For  Movie 'Bibek'

April 14, Kathmandu- Auditions have been held in Janakpur and Birgunj of  Province 2 to select actors for the Nepali feature film 'Bibek'. The film's director and producer Madhav Wagle informed that the process of selecting actors from both the cities has been completed within a year.

56 artists have auditioned in Janakpur and about 20 in Birgunj. The total budget of this film, which is based on the environment, customs, and culture of Madhes, is Rs 40 million. The film unit aims to shoot the film from the second week of May.

The production team said that the audition was done in search of real talent as the film needed about 80 actors. Actor Vipin Karki, who has acted in more than a dozen films including 'Selfie Ki', 'Jatra', 'Jatra Jatra', 'Gopi', 'Hari', 'Prasad' and 'Chadke', is not in the lead role.

According to the story writer of the film, Loknath Koirala, the Nepali film to be made in Nepal has not been successful in making a film based on the story of Kathmandu. Koirala, who has been teaching English literature at Tribhuvan University, has recently started writing films.

The aim is to dub the film 'Bibek' in Bhojpuri and Maithili languages ​​as well. It is said that the film will also cover the theme of the Madhesi movement by giving space to Madhesi music and promoting Mithila culture.
