April 14, Kathmandu- The Parwanipur Gold Cup-2021 is scheduled to be held in Parwanipur from April 24. The football tournament is being organized by two clubs of Parwanipur with the support of Parwanipur Gaonpalika and Birgunj Mahanagarpalika-21 at the sports ground at Birgunj-21.

Eight teams including two clubs from Birgunj, Hetauda, ​​Bharatpur, Sarlahi, Belkhadi, Sindhuli, and APF from Mahottari will participate in the competition organized by Shakti Youth Club and Parwanipur Youth Club.

The winner will be given Rs 100,000, the runner-up Rs 50,000, the best players Rs 15,000 each, and the best players Rs 5,000 in cash, trophies, and medals on a daily basis, said Subodh Kumar Srivastava, chairman of the organizing committee.

He said that the competition will be held at a cost of around Rs 1 million with the help of various donors to increase the craze of Parwanipur in football at present. Ali Akhtar, treasurer of the organizing committee, said it was a pleasure to have the Gold Cup in Parwanipur and that it would play an important role in producing football players.

He said that the work of clearing soil and weeding and other maintenance work has been continued at Parwanipur Sports Ground at a cost of Rs 1.5 lakh.
