August 1, Kathmandu- The body of a woman who went missing in a boat accident on the Karnali River has been found.

The body of Dhansari Salami, 22, of Mohanyal Gaonpalika-3 of Kailali has been found, said Rajendra Bahadur Kumal, in-charge of Area Police Office, Sungarkhal, Kailali.

"The search for the missing is on. We have found the body of a woman 300 meters below the spot," said Kumal.

Three persons, including a pregnant woman, went missing when their boat capsized in the Karnali River between Mohanyal Municipality of Kailali and Chowkune Municipality of Surkhet at around 10 am on Sunday.

Police said that they met with an accident while going to Surkhet from Kailali to get vaccinated. Two persons were injured and five others were rescued when the boat carrying 10 passengers capsized, said SP Madhav Shrestha, spokesperson of the Karnali State Police Office.
