Olympics: China Tops The List With 62 Medals

August 3, Kathmandu - At the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, China remains at the top with 62 medals. China has so far won 29 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze medals. The United States is second in the medal table and Japan is third. The United States has won 22 gold, 25 silver and 17 bronze medals, while Japan has won 17 gold, 6 silver and 10 bronze medals. Similarly, Australia has risen to the fourth position with 14 gold, 4 silver and 15 bronze medals.

Similarly, the Russian Olympic Committee has dropped to fifth place in the medal table. He has won 12 gold, 21 silver and 17 bronze medals. Britain is sixth with 11 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze medals, France is seventh with 6 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze medals, Germany is eighth with 6 gold, 6 silver and 11 bronze medals.

South Korea is ninth with 6 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals and the Netherlands is 10th with 5 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals. Of the 205 countries participating in the Tokyo Olympics, 76 have so far won medals.
