Aug 6, Kathamndu- Though the Election Commission has resolved the dispute over the official status of the Janata Samajwadi Party of Nepal, the tension within the party has not abated. As a result, Upendra Yadav's party and Mahanta Thakur's party have come face to face in Madhesa.

Both sides have gone to Madhes with their own programs. They have started organizing programs to attract cadres to their side.

While the Upendra Yadav faction is collecting the citizenship of the central members from the districts to update the Central Committee, the Mahanta Thakur faction has started the program by calling it a district extended meeting of the Jaspa.

The Election Commission has given the official status of JSP to Upendra Yadav. Mahanta Thakur's party, which has not received the official status of JSP, has also started a program in Terai Madhes saying that they are still in JSP. It is said that the program of Mahanta Thakur's party will continue till September 25.

Jitendra Sonal, the executive member of Mahanta Thakur's party, said that the program was organized to inform the party cadres about the internal problems of the party.

"The program is organized to inform the cadres about the cause of the dispute in the party, why the party is in a state of disarray," he said. "Some lower-level leaders and cadres are confused about the dispute at the center.

The Mahanta faction has held a program in Saptari on Friday. Senior leaders of the party Rajendra Mahato, Keshav Jha, Vrishesh Chandra Lal, and Rajiv Jha are the keynote speakers at the program organized at the assembly hall of the District Coordination Office.

Kedar Yadav, Jaspa district president of Upendra Yadav's party, said, "The program being conducted by Rajendra Mahato in the name of Jaspa is not official. The program is fake. The center will take a necessary decision about it."

Executive members of Jaspa Mahanta Thakur's party Anil Kumar Jha, Dr. Surendra Jha, Uma Shankar Aragaria, and Jayanul Rai have been sent as keynote speakers for the extended meeting to be held in Siraha.

Jaspa leader Rakesh Roshan Gupta said, "We will take a necessary decision soon about the fake program being held in the name of Jaspa in Siraha. Mahanta Thakur's party is forcibly organizing the program.

Siraha District Chairman Ashok Yadav of Upendra Yadav's party said that the program is held in the district on Friday was not official.

Jaspa Chairman Mahanta Thakur, Executive Committee members Sarat Singh Bhandari and Nirjala Raut have been sent as keynote speakers for the extended meeting that started in Mahottari. But Upendra Yadav's party has made it clear that none of the extended meetings to be held in the district are on behalf of the party.

Executive members of Mahanta Thakur's party Jaspa executive members Laxman Lal Karna, Jitendra Sonal, central member Babulal Sah, and Ramesh Patel are the keynote speakers at the extended meeting in Bara. Upendra Yadav's JSP central member Pramod Gupta said that there was no justification for the party's program.

Jaspa Bara District Chairman Ajay Patel responded that there was no justification for the program carried out by Mahanta. He said, "If they do not have the authority of the party, then everyone understands on what basis they have organized the program."

The party's Dhanusha district committee has also issued a statement stating that there is no program in the district on behalf of the party. The Mahanta faction is organizing a program in Dhanusha on Saturday. District Chairman of Upendra Yadav's party Pashupati Yadav has issued a statement urging the party cadres not to get confused as no program has been organized by the party.

The Mahanta faction has stated that Mahanta Thakur and Sarat Singh Bhandari will be the keynote speakers for the program to be held in Dhanusha.

Ram Ashish Yadav, Jaspa Dhanusha district in charge of Upendra Yadav's party and state assembly member of state 2, responded that the program being held by Mahanta Thakur was not official. He said that the party has not held any program which is being advertised as an extended meeting of the party. If any party participates in that program, action will be taken.
