Nov 29, Kathmandu- Fifteen candidates have applied for the post of chairperson of the National Examination Board. The recommendation committee had called for the application for the chairmanship of the board on November 11.

The last date to apply was November 25. According to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the two former secretaries, Dr. Mahashram Sharma and Laxmi Ram Poudel are also present.

Similarly, former Controller of Examinations of Tribhuvan University Dr.Dayaman Karmacharya, Head of Research, Quality and Government Reforms Division of the Examination Board  It is understood that Ram Chandra Pandey and Durga Pandey, the then Controller of Examinations of the Higher Secondary Education Council, also applied. Bir Singh Baitha, the headmaster of a modern national secondary school in Hetauda, ​​has also demanded the post.

Professor Dr. Ghanshyam Bhattarai, . It is learned that Professor Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Krishna Prasad Acharya, Baburam Khanal, Dhanmaya Bhattarai, and others have also applied.

There is a legal provision for a person who has at least 12 years of experience in the field of education and examination and is not a member of any political party to apply for the post. The experience in the field of education also mentions that he has worked in teaching for 12 years.

The applicant has also submitted a concept paper to lead the board and a four-year business action plan. There is no age limit for the board chairman. The Ministry has forwarded the application to the Public Service Commission.

There is a legal provision to form a three-member recommendation committee under the coordination of the chairperson of the Public Service Commission for the selection of the chairperson of the board.
