Bagmati Province CM Rajendra Prasad Pandey Has Expanded Cabinet

Dec 14, Kathmandu- Bagmati Province Chief Minister(CM) Rajendra Prasad Pandey has expanded the cabinet. On Tuesday, CM Pandey expanded the cabinet by adding five ministers and one minister of province.

The expanded cabinet includes three ministers from the CPN-Maoist center, two from the CPN-Unified Socialists and one minister of state. Ghanshyam Dahal of the UCPN (Maoist) has become the Minister of Labor, Employment and Transport  Bishal Khadka the Minister of Forest and Environment and Ratna Prasad Dhakal the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Basanta Manandhar of the Unified Socialist Party has become the Minister for Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation and Basundhara Humagain has become the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development.

Indramaya Gurung has become the Minister of State for Agriculture and Livestock Development. Nepali Congress MPs have not been included in the expanded cabinet. The name of the minister could not be finalized as the Congress MPs were busy in the party's general convention.

Currently, the Bagmati Council of Ministers has five members and six more were added on Tuesday. In Bagmati, the number of ministries has been increased from 8 to 14.

The newly appointed ministers will take oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
