First Nawalpur Festival Will Be Held From December 23 To January 1

Dec 19, Kathmandu- The first Nawalpur Food, Tourism, Culture, and Trade Festival will be held at Kawasoti in Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat-Susta). The festival organized by Hotel Entrepreneurs Association Nawalpur will continue from December 23 to January 1 this year.

Association President Santosh Rana informed that the festival would include food for the tribes in Nawalpur as well as paragliding, jungle safari in the intermediate zone of Chitwan National Park, and a boat safari on the Narayani river.

Construction of exhibition venue has been started at the festival to be held at Kawasoti-8. The festival, which is being organized for the first time in the district, will have around 200 exhibition halls. Along with the preparations for the festival, the work including the banner and reception gate has been taken forward from publicity and miking through local media.

Meanwhile, paragliding will be kept as an attraction in the festival. Those who want to go paragliding will be taken to the sand dunes of Kawasoti for paragliding. Paragliding, which has been successfully tested some time ago, will be done from the sandhill of Kawasoti to Hattikhor.

It is said that a person spends about 25 minutes paragliding from Baluwa Danda. According to the organizers, 10 to 35 pilots have been prepared daily and five pilots have been appointed for that. There are various cultural programs including kindergarten as additional attractions in the festival.

The food festival, which is being organized for the first time in the district, will be continued every year, said the organizer. Chairman Rana said that the festival is being organized to attract tourists by preserving the food and culture of the tribe.
