1.298 Million Allocated For Upgrading Bajhang Airport

Dec 28, Kathmandu- The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has allocated Rs. 1.298 million for the upgrade of Bajhang Airport.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale has allocated a budget for the construction and upgrading of 10 airports in the far-western states including Bajhang.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has allocated an additional budget of Rs 1.32 billion for the upgrade of ten airports in the far western states.

The meeting chaired by Minister Ale has allocated Rs. 1299,200 for Bajhang Airport and Rs. 26,548,687 for Darchula Airport.

Similarly, a budget of Rs. 10 million has been allocated for the acquisition of 250 Bighas of land for Dhangadhi Airport and construction of 2,500 meters of the runway, said Minister's Press Coordinator Bimal Bahadur Bista.

According to him, a budget of Rs. 18.67 million has been allocated for the upgrade of Kolti Airport in Bajura and Rs. Similarly, the Baitadi Airport upgrade plan has been included in the multi-year plan and a budget of 5 million 44 thousand 2 hundred 47 rupees. 

Similarly, a budget of Rs 251.32 million has been allocated for strengthening the airport at Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur, Rs 30 million for strengthening the airport at Kamal Bazaar in Achham, and Rs 30 million for upgrading the Sanphebgar airport.

Minister Ale has allocated a budget of Rs. 186.11 million for the airport in the home district of Doti. According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Minister Ale has allocated the budget from the meeting on Sunday to upgrade ten airports in the home state, strengthen them and add runways.
