Nepal's daughter Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has called for celebrating Prithvinarayan Shah's 299th birthday . Former DIG Ramesh Kharel and Bharat Basnet have jointly called for a grand celebration of Prithvi Jayanti on January r 11.

Koirala, a member of the Koirala family, who is the focal point of Nepali politics, is going to participate in a press conference to express her solidarity with our Nepal and good governance campaign run by former DIG Kharel.

A press conference will be held on Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the Earth Day.

Before the advent of the republic, Prithvi Jayanti was celebrated as National Unity Day and the government used to grant public leave.
