Apr 6, Kathmandu- South Indian superstar Vijay Pooja Hegde’s Tamil upcoming film 'Beast' has been banned in the Middle East country in Kuwait. The film has been directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is one of the most anticipated films to release soon.

According to Indian media, the film contains anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan scenes. The Kuwaiti government has also stated that the film is against the country's interests.  Kuwait's censor board has stated that the issue of Pakistani terrorism has been raised in this hostage thriller film by Vijay. In which Arab countries are portrayed as a haven for terrorists.

Kuwait's move could be followed by other Arab countries. Before 'Beast', South Indian actor Dulquer Salman's film 'Kurup' and Vishnu Vishal's film 'FIR' were also banned. Along with Vijay starrer 'Beast', Kannada language film 'KGF: Chapter 2' is also being screened.

The film is all set to release on April 13 in five languages — Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The movie also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Selvaragha, Satish, Redin Kingsley, Lilliput, Yogi Babu, and others. The film will be released one week after the scheduled release of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, which is also highly anticipated.  This is the first film to be banned in Kuwait. Before this, the Malayalam film 'Kurup' and the Tamil film 'FIR' had also not been allowed to be showcased.
