Apr 6, Kathmandu- Producer and social worker Monika Basnet has said that Nepal is now a woman-dominated country.
Speaking on the Headline Nepal Bishesh program with Presenter Sanjeeb Regmi, she said that the participation of women in other bodies from the highest office of the President to Nepal has been increasing and Nepal has become a woman-dominated country. She also accused some women's rights activists of abusing their rights.
She said, "One or two wrong women have brought disgrace and disgrace on other women as well." Saying that she would never support the wrong woman, she insisted that she was supporting the man as she was a bad woman.
She e claims that the law of Nepal has given more priority to women than men in the case of rape. Looking at the recent incidents, she said that men need justice more than women as they are being treated unfairly. Basnet, a social worker, lamented that there was no place for justice in Nepal if a man was raped. "I will try to eradicate this situation," she said.
Referring to the mandatory vaccination card, she said, "Just as the vaccine card has been made mandatory, so should citizenship." Tightening the grip of a 16-year-old in a public place such as a dance bar, any park, or a picnic would help end the current situation. '
